Frank Hemmekam — Extended Car Typo
I was interested in typography on cars: the wide chrome typography used names for the model. My research pointed out that it started in the Victorian era. Car factories characterized their models with "hood ornaments." Nowadays it has been replaced by a logo emblem. However, you can still find them on the current models of the brand Rolls Royce and Bentley. Manufacturers added a logotype to their "hood ornaments." Both were given a chrome coating to prevent corrosion. In the late 20th century, designers aim for the future car. In addition to the model name, they should boost the character of the car.
